NOTICE OF TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PUBLIC WORSHIP DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
An update from St George’s Church, Monkleigh
In the current lockdown, St George’s Parochial Church Council, the churchwarden and the vicar have reluctantly made the decision to keep the church closed for at least the first two months of this year and review the situation at the end of February.
We are conscious of the fact that many who come to services regularly are shielding and waiting for a vaccine. We will continue to offer a short service of reflection online every fourth Sunday of the month alongside the collection of services from the four villages and St Mary’s Bideford which can be accessed on the St Mary’s website. https://stmaryschurchbideford.org/services/
We realise however that some feel the need to find space to pray and so we will set up a ‘Pause and Pray’ station in the porch of the church.
“The Lord is good a strong refuge when trouble comes. God is close to those who trust in him.” Nahum 1:7
