DESCRIPTION:The course will be led by Clive Jobbins and if the debate is g
ood we'll keep going so stay as long as you're able. The topic is The Aram
aic IV The Lord’s Prayer: A Reflection in four sessions of an hour or mo
re.\n \nThe Aramaic words which we will reflect upon are based on Neil Dou
glas-Klotz’ excellent scholarship and will be used as a core text. As I
studied them in the past\, I was made to think again of the language Jesus
spoke and how the words of Lord’s Prayer which we say\, comes from the
 restrictive Latin\, Hebrew\, and Greek. There is a richness\, colour\, mys
tical meaning\, and interpretation in the Aramaic words which has been arg
uably lost to us or only limited to the ivory towers of scholars.\n\nSoup
lunch will be provided\, so please call the Warden\, Chris Rogers on 07870
265386 to make sure there's plenty of soup.
