DESCRIPTION:Every year we commemorate the fact that all of the villagers w
 ho served in the armed forces in the World Wars returned safely. Langton H
 erring is unique in Dorset for this reason\, and one of only 13 places in 
 the UK\, which is why we do not have a war memorial in the village. \nThis
  year as we remember the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII there will be
  a special Thanksgiving service on Sunday September 21st at 10 a.m. when w
 e will remember all of those men and women who returned and give thanks fo
 r our local community. \nThere will be information on many of those indivi
 duals who lived in the village in the past on display\, and we hope you wi
 ll come and join us. After the service we will have coffee/tea and cake in
