PrayFeb is an initiative for the Churches across BCP and the surrounding area to come together to pray during this third lockdown and as Covid cases and deaths continue to rise. There is something so powerful about praying collectively into the situation we all face. Some churches will be praying through Zoom or telephone conversations, others will connect in the quiet of their own homes.
It would be wonderful for us here in West Moors to try to keep a time of silence each day at 5pm (or whenever you can) and reflect on one aspect of our collective life. How long you spend in silence is up to you and what you are comfortable with. I do not think God measures our prayer, but just considers each moment precious. To this end within the pamphlet (which can be downloaded below), you will find some short meditations written by me to give some context to a time of silent prayer each day. The theme I have chosen for the day is often related to a festival or commemoration kept by the Christian church. Some meditations are brief stories, some poetic, some images, some merely channels for our thoughts.
I hope you will find these short meditations helpful and that within the 28days of the coming month of February you will able to find a little space each day to stop and rest in God’s love.
If you have any questions about this…please do get in touch.
With love and prayers
