DESCRIPTION:We are encouraged to put down deep roots of hope by connecting
with God who is with us at all times. In Lent we journey with Jesus on th
e difficult and thorny road that leads all the way to the cross on Good Fr
iday – and beyond\, to the transformation of Easter Day.\n\nGod invites
us to bring to him our own journey through everyday life. In the disappoin
tment of daily setbacks and the pain of deeper hurts\, we discover that Go
d is present with us. And God promises a future where all things are heale
d and made new. \n\nLiving Hope offers us the opportunity to deepen our h
ope in God and be part of what God is doing to bring hope in the world.\n\
nThe readings and reflections explore how we can have hope in times of fru
stration or uncertainty\; the hope found in joining with others\; the invi
tation to notice signs of hope around us\; the courage to face reality and
pursue a hopeful future\; and the ways God transforms death into life at
Easter.\n\nWe are hoping that people from across the Westbury Area Churche
s Together will join together for this year’s Lent groups. They will st
art w/c 3 March and there will be six sessions.\nThere will be free bookle
ts available to accompany the meetings which have been purchased by WACT.
The material is also available to download from the Church of England webs
ite nearer the time. You can receive daily reflections in your inbox throu
ghout Lent.\n\nThere will be an introduction to the material at our Ash We
dnesday service of Holy Communion at 7.00 pm at All Saints church on Wedne
sday 5th March for all who are able to come.\n\nWe have three groups this
year which will meet across the Westbury Area. Please sign up for your pre
ferred group using the sign up sheet in our churches\, or by emailing offi
ce@whtministry.org.uk.\n\nOr by talking to your church leader
