DESCRIPTION:We are having a special service for Rogation Sunday at the Tin
  Church\, Brokerswood on 25th May at 6.00 pm. \n\nRogationtide was given t
 his name from the words in the Prayerbook gospel: Whatever you ask the\nFa
 ther in my name\, He will give you (from the Latin – “to ask”). \n\n
 Traditionally\, processions took place around the fields\, to bless the cr
 ops and to beat the “bounds” of the parish. Rogation takes place in th
 e spring time\, between Easter and Pentecost. It reminds us of our respons
 ibility to look after God’s earth\; to reflect on our relationship with 
 the natural order and how we are meant to be good stewards or managers of 
 the land and all that is in it. Part our responsibility as Eco Churches\, 
 is to be reminded of these concerns and raise our awareness of our concern
 s for the natural world.
