DESCRIPTION:Lammas comes from the Old English word for “loaf mass” and
  celebrates the first fruits of the Harvest. Traditionally\, a loaf of bre
 ad is made from the first grain of the Harvest and brought to church to be
  blessed\, symbolising gratitude to God for the harvest and for the susten
 ance it provides.\n\nThere will be a special service at the Tin Church on 
 Sunday 3 August at 6.00 pm. Everyone is welcome. We shall be bringing a lo
 af of bread to this service and there will be some refreshments afterwards
 .\n\nThis is part of a series of services celebrating Rural Festivals in o
 ur most rural setting. We hope you will come and join us.
