  out more about the crisis facing our natural world and how this is alread
 y impacting our daily lives\, here and around the world?\n\nEarlier in Sep
 tember\, I went to a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing which 
 was organized by Westbury Town Council in the Laverton. The film features 
 footage from last November’s National Emergency Briefing\, bringing toge
 ther leading UK experts in climate science\, food security\, health\, econ
 omics\, national security and nature.\n\nIt presents a calm\, evidence-bas
 ed overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday lif
 e in Britain - and what the science says about risks and responses.\n\nThe
  initiative is explicitly non-partisan and supported by a wide range of or
 ganisations\, including the Church of England\, National Trust\, WWF\, the
  Royal Meteorological Society and many others.\n\nThe church has a long tr
 adition and concern for stewardship\, care for the vulnerable\, and interg
 enerational responsibility. We believe this is an important moment for tho
 ughtful\, compassionate local dialogue. This is supported by Westbury Area
  Churches Together and Westbury PCC and we would like to show it to as man
 y people as possible.\n\nFollowing the 50-minute film\, we will host a str
 uctured discussion about what this means for our community.\n\nThis is a F
 REE event open to all people over 16. We are inviting our MP Dr Andrew Mur
 rison and other community leaders in our town and local communities\, and 
 everyone is welcome to attend.\n\nWe would ask that you book your places i
 n advance\, just so we know numbers.\n\nRefreshments will be available fro
 m 10.00 am and the film will begin at 10.30 am\, followed by a short time
