DESCRIPTION:The RWB Environment Trust are showing the People’s Emergency
  Briefing film. The film features footage from last November’s National 
 Emergency Briefing\, which brought together leading UK experts in climate 
 science\, food security\, health\, economics\, national security and natur
 e. Presenting a clear\, measured overview of how the climate and nature cr
 isis is affecting everyday life in Britain\, and what the evidence says ab
 out risks and responses\, the initiative is non-partisan and is supported 
 by a wide range of organisations including National Trust\, Church of Engl
 and\, Exeter University\, the Royal Meteorological Society\, WWF\, Nationa
 l Education Union\, and many more. The purpose of the Briefing is to suppo
 rt informed democratic discussion and ensure that national and local decis
 ion-makers\, alongside the public\, share a common understanding of the sc
 ale and urgency of the challenge. Following the 50-minute film\, there wil
 l be a 45-minute structured local discussion on what this means for our co
 mmunity\, including implications for local preparedness\, resilience and l
 ong-term planning. The Rt Rev Graham Usher\, Bishop of Norwich and lead Bi
 shop for Environment for the Church of England\, has written: “I encoura
 ge churches to invite their wider community and show this film – it’s 
 a wake up for us all. Its message to care for climate\, people\, nature is
  so urgently needed\, not least so that we might live and act as Jesus wou
 ld have us be.”
