Church of England Diocese of Rochester St. John the Evangelist, Bromley

Locked down but as busy as ever!

1 Jun 2020, 9 a.m.

While our main church building remains closed in accordance with government guidelines, we have a full programme of online events including church services, social events via Zoom and activities for children. We hold a virtual service every Sunday, which includes Bible readings, prayers, songs and a sermon, and a 5-minute Thought for the Day on all other days of the week. All of these can be accessed through our Virtual Church webpage at</span>

There is also a dedicated Virtual Family Church web page, full of Bible stories read by members of St John's (children, parents and grandparents). We aim to keep adding to our library as time goes on so that there is plenty of content which you and your family can access.

Virtual 4 O'Clock Church meets every Sunday from 4 to 4.30pm for songs and a Bible story, with a special appearance from our furry friends Spencer and Frosty the glove puppets! You can download colouring sheets in advance from the Virtual Family Church web page, then show us your completed sheets in the meeting. Designed particularly with younger families in mind though everyone is welcome! No special downloads are required but you will need a Zoom invitation code – drop me a line and I will send you this.

Older children (Year 6 and above) have fortnightly Pathfinders socials via Zoom on Sundays from 6.30 to 7.30pm.

And we are holding fortnightly all-age church social events via Zoom on midweek evenings from 7 to 8pm.

Please check the church website or contact us for full details.
