Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

From Sunday 2nd August 2020 the church building will be reopening for services. From that date we will have one service on a Sunday at 10am and another on Thursdays at 10am. This reduced service pattern will allow for cleaning and minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Opening the church for private prayer during the week has not proved possible as yet due to the lack of volunteers who are of an age and health not to be putting themselves at risk.

As part of making the services as safe as possible we would ask that all visitors to the church adhere to the guidelines for gathering indoors and follow the directions of our volunteers. That includes wearing a face covering for the entirety of the service, as will all volunteers and ministers. Of course if you are exempt then you do not have to do so, however if you are then you are likely to be in the extremely vulnerable category and should be considering whether it is safe to attend at this time anyway.

This is not the grand reopening and gathering we perhaps once thought it would be. In business terms and in a past life I would have described this as a "soft launch", but launching we are and I for one am excited and relieved to be returning to our beautiful building for worship and bringing into that our live streaming which will continue.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

Every blessing,

Rev'd Simon Archer
