Sunday Evening Services at Ridley

We are trying a different format of evening service. We will maintain the traditional Evensong Service at 6pm but it becomes bi-monthly.
In the alternate months will be an alternative format service where there is more participation. This will be at 4:00pm with drinks and nibbles from 3:30.
Both of these service types will be on the fourth Sunday in the month.

People are invited to present some words of relevance to them in their Christian Life, and perhaps to speak briefly about what their item means to them, a microphone is available so you can be heard. Following on from this is a Hymn that relates to your topic.
If you feel you would like to be involved then please contact Helen via link "</span>Get in Touch<span style="font-size: 1rem;">" .</span>

The service starts with a social gathering typically with tea, coffee and nibbles.

<span style="font-size: 1rem;">To date we have had:-</span>

22nd August "Praise in Prose" As the title implies, poetry or prose that has some special personal meaning, we had four pieces presented with one being written by the speaker.
24th October "Storytime" This time a selection of anecdotes about things that had special meaning to the speaker again we had four speakers. One telling of an encouragement to read Job and saying how this book, reputed to be on the heavy side, actually brought great enlightenment and encouragement.
24th December "Christmas Past" No not Charles Dickens, but things that have stayed with you that you feel might help others smile.
