Our Thursday Mass today marks the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady - the principal Marian festival. This is a Walsingham Cell Mass, so we hope that Cell members from our sister parishes will be able to attend.

For those taking part in the annual Friends of Kent Churches Sponsored 'Ride and Stride' event, we regret that this year we CANNOT OPEN THE CHURCH TO VISITORS. However, the form for any Riders or Striders to sign, to show that they have been to St Luke's, will be on the Virginia Road door or noticeboard from 10am to 4pm (approx.). If you wish to take part in the event, details will be put on the Notice Board in Church in due course, or ask Churchwarden Mark.

We hope to celebrate the Feast of St Luke the Evangelist - our Patronal Festival - on the actual day, but we invite visitors from other churches to join us. The celebrant and preacher is the Rt Rev Dr Martin Warner, Bishop of Chichester, a good friend of St Luke's, and a former server!

A buffet lunch will be available after the service, to which everyone is welcome.
