Whilst it is a very difficult decision, we have decided to keep the building closed for worship and private prayer for the next while. The rising infection rates of COVID-19 locally has been unprecedented, and so we make this decision in order to keep everyone as safe as possible. Gathering in any form, whether permissible or not, is not advisable.
This is a deeply saddening thing for us. I am mindful of the story of the first Christmas - a story where nothing seemed to go as planned. And yet, even in the disruption and, at times, danger, God was present. In the midst of what was going on He was working His purpose out. It is a story that invites us to trust in the mystery of God despite our circumstances.
As we navigate through this disrupted and uncertain time may we too look to the God who holds all of time and space in His hands.
