Candle Prayer Time The prayer group continues to pray at 7.30 every Wednesday. All welcome to send in prayer requests to Mike 07964 697556 ([email protected]) and if you would like to pray with the group just let Mike know and he can send the list of prayer requests to you.

Curate. Please pray for Christopher Winter who will be ordained deacon by the Bishop of Rochester on Sat 26 Sep in the cathedral to serve in this parish. We will be able to watch this service via a link which I will send out later. He will preach on his first Sunday with us which will be the day after. A deacon means ‘one who serves’. It reminds us that true leadership in church is always of the kind modelled by Christ when he washed his disciples’ feet. After one year Chris would be ordained priest, and so be able to celebrate the Eucharist. A priest always remains a deacon as well!

Church Electoral Roll Revision – this is taking place now prior to Annual Meeting in Oct. If you are not on roll, and would like to be, ask for a form.

Messy Church Nature Walk that was due to take place on Sat 19th is Postponed.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting. This meeting postponed from April will now take place on Sunday 18 Oct after the 10.30 service in church and people can also participate on zoom. The reports will be of the finances and activities of the previous year 2019 and will be sent out by email to those on the electoral roll and a few print copies available to read in church. The meeting will be even shorter than usual, the main business being to elect churchwardens and any new PCC members.
