Today we keep Climate Sunday. This is an initiative of Churches Together, also CAFOD, Christian Aid, A Rocha and Operation Noah

From today mask wearing in church will be optional. This will be reviewed if there is a spike in cases or a new wave.

The hymns will be: 635 For the healing of the nations 512 Christ’s is the world in which we move 550 The spacious firmament on high 753 O praise ye the Lord

Please note that hymns that may look unfamiliar are sung to tunes that are more well known. Some of the themes we explore in worship today are expressed well in newer hymns.

Cream Tea will take place today from 2-4.30

From today Morning Prayer will take place in church from 9.15-9.30 on Sundays. This will finish in time for the choir to practice before the Eucharist.

On Sunday 12th September we welcome Canon Gordon Oliver who will speak about Living in Love and Faith which is conversation in the Church of England about human sexuality which we are invited to take part in and give feedback about. We are invited to do this together with Snodland parish. More details to come.

On Sunday 26th September Chris will celebrate the Eucharist for the first time having been ordained priest the day before. The preacher will be Canon Chris Dench. This service will be followed by a buffet lunch We pray for Chris preparing to begin his priestly ministry.
