North Cowton is a small village nine miles equidistant from Darlington, Richmond and Northallerton off the B1263 road.
The parish church of St Luke was originally built as a pastoral centre in 1968 to the then parish church St Mary's in near by South Cowton. The Bishop of Ripon consecrated St Luke's as the parish church of North Cowton on October 21st 1990 and St Mary's was subsequently taken over by the Redundant Churches Fund. Unfortunatly due to the age of the building access and toilets are not disabled friendly.
The Rvd. David Lewis is our Priest and we are part of the Benefice of the Wiske.
