Dr. Triplett's CE Primary School

This is a successful Church of England school that is linked to the Church. The school is a two form entry with 480 children in the school, including the nursery. It has a culturally diverse school community, but remains 80% Christian. The links with the Church have been maintained by the Rector and Churchwardens, and the Head is working hard to build on these links, and to encourage St. Mary’s congregation to engage with the school, for such things as the daily collective worship. Priests and Ministers from local Christian Churches lead the Collective Worship, and classes visit other churches as part of their Religious Studies.

Dr. Triplett’s aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.  It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes the Christian values of love, compassion and respect for each other through the experience it offers to all pupils.

Pre-Covid-19 the school attends church for all the festivals including Christmas, when they have their Carol Service. They also come at the beginning of Lent and Advent; Harvest, and at the end of each half-term.
