St Michael’s Church, Upton is part of parish of Duston & Upton Parish which is a Team Ministry. The three active communities in the Parish are both traditional and modern, diverse but united by our common belief in Christ, serving the community in Duston and Upton, Northampton.
St. Michael’s is an ancient building of local stone dating back to Norman times. It is situated on the A45 on the western edge of Northampton and is surrounded by beautiful parkland.
Since 1980 the Church has been ‘closed’ but as the population of Upton grows the Church is increasingly being brought back into community use. The fabric of the church is maintained by the Churches Conservation Trust, and the churchyard has been maintained by voluntary efforts of the Friends of St Michael's and others. Quinton House School uses the church for occasional services for the pupils, and also helps with its upkeep.
If you would like to know more about the church or our hopes to build an ecumenical worshipping community at St Michael's, please contact the Duston & Upton Parish Office on 01604 753679 or firstname.lastname@example.org
