Chew Valley West

Welcome to the western side of the Chew Valley! This beautiful area on the edge of the Mendips is known for the large reservoir at the centre of the valley, and the wildfowl and waterfowl that congregate there. The villages in the valley are small and welcoming communities with lots of things to get involved in, including their churches which are loved by many. Full details of the benefice can be found on our website, www.chewvalleywest.org

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO via the button or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Ben Goodhind on 01749 588917. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
