Asterby Group of Parishes

The Asterby Group of parishes is set in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds .  All our churches are surrounded by beautiful countryside and offer spiritual and peaceful retreats for anyone visiting them.

Our churches are well loved and cared for but are always a challenge because of the age of most of them  They are grade II listed buildings.  Some of our churches hold services every month and there is some travelling between them by parishoners.   Our main communion church is St ANDREWS  in Donington on Bain.    Benniworth , Burgh on Bain, and Scamblesby  hold services of the word each month  on the first, second and last Sunday of each month.   Gayton Le Wold, Goulceby, Ranby and Stenigot are known as celebratory churches and they hold services throughout the year on special days.   All our churches are available for Weddings, baptisms and funerals

Safeguarding

The parish is committed to the safeguarding of children young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishop's guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer ( PSO) The Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocese Safeguarding Advisor ( (DSA) who advises our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Diocese DSA or me. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your Local Authority Child or Adult Services. Information and contact about this is found on each church noticeboard. You may also access the Diocesan website on https://www.lincoln.anglican.org.
