Our Building

The church is Grade 1 listed, circa 1230. The belltower, circa 1330, has 6 bells dating back to 1622. The tower has a small museum on the ground floor and access to third floor belfry, and is open every day.
The church houses the historic St Ethelbert Well.


Music and Worship

The ringing band meet for practice on Wednesday evenings and welcome new members.

Groups, Courses and Activities

The Marden group of Mothers' Union meets the first Tuesday of the month at Marden Church at 2.30pm. Visitors and new members are welcomed.


Help for Visitors

Interpretive boards, leaflets and guidebooks explaining the unique history of Marden Church and the story of St Ethelbert the King.

The church is open every day 10am to 4pm. There is a Community Library (available to all our visitors) and lots of information about this historic and beautiful site on the banks of the River Lugg.

Marden Church is a collection point for the Hereford Food Bank.
