Emmanuel Church

We at Emmanuel offer a warm welcome to all in our community, young and old. We are very much a church for the community with a vision to spread the good news about Jesus and share the message of God’s love both inside and outside the four walls of the building.

We are a small, friendly and informal church and we look out for one another, offering support and encouragement, both physical and spiritual.  We warmly welcome all newcomers.

We want to share Jesus' message of forgiveness and salvation, to meet people where they are and to see God transform lives as we discover together the joy of a close and personal relationship with God and His amazing promise of eternal life.

We are happy to be meeting back in the building again. We will be taking care to adhere to all the government legislation and guidelines to ensure we are doing this in a Covid-compliant way. Please come along and join us.

Safeguarding

The parish of Bath, Weston St John is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

Messy Church normally takes place on the first Monday of each month, except when the Monday is a Bank Holiday, in which case we hold it the following Monday. We start with a bible story, a prayer and a song and then 'get creative' with glue, paint, colouring and cooking around the theme of the bible story. We finish with a meal together. It is lots of fun and families, teenagers, older folk . . . all are welcome to come and join in the creativity! We don't run Messy Church in August. We hope to see you there!

There is no Messy Church in August

Our all-age Family Worship service time has changed to a 10 am start. All welcome!
