There are two disabled driver parking bays on the road next to the church.

Wheelchair-friendly, level access to the church is via a compacted gravel path from Sandy Hole Lane through the churchyard to the West Door. There is a permanent ramp inside this door. There are no steps in the body of the church apart from at the communion rail / entrance to the Chancel.

We have a good quality sound amplification system with an excellent hearing loop.

Large print hymn books and service books are available. Please ask a sidesperosn.

Are warmly welcomed.

Our Building

The building is grade 2* listed.
The 'box tombs' in the churchyard are also grade 2* listed.

We are working towards our Bronze Award. We have a meadow and 12 bird boxes in the churchyard. We are about to install 14 boxes for solitary and bumblebees.


Music and Worship

Practice night: Tuesdays 7.45pm to 9pm. Beginners welcome. Please contact our Tower Captain, Rob Harvey, for more details.

We do hold occasional concerts in the church. Look out for posters with more details.

Organ

The '16 Bells Choir' meets in the church to rehearse every fortnight during term time.
7pm to 8.30pm Every other Wednesday.
We are a friendly and informal choir with male and female singers. We would welcome new comers! No audition required.

Groups, Courses and Activities

We have two Home Groups based in Merriott that meet weekly during term time.
One is on Monday afternoon, the other is on Thursday evening.

Coffee Stop.
10am to 11.30am every Tuesday in church.
Coffee or tea and a cake for just £1.
All welcome.

The Merriott Minnows is our church toddler group for pre-school age children. The Minnows meet during term time on Thursdays in the Tithe Barn (Church Hall) opposite the church. 9am to 11am.

The church is open every day between 9am and 4pm.

We warmly welcome assistance dogs.


Other Features

FairTrade

We collect food and other items for the Chard and Yeovil based Lord's Larder. There is a box in the main porch.

We have a good quality built in sound system with audio loop.

Over the last few years, we have improved the habitat of the churchyard for wildlife. This has included a large are of meadow, bird nesting boxes, bumbebee and solitary bee boxes.
