Getting here
Whether you come by road from north or south, or the east, you reach our valley via the A595. From the north, turn left at Gosforth and head through the village for the fells. After about 6 miles you come to Wastwater and turn left along the Lake until you reach Wasdale Head. Where the road ends! From the South turn right at Holmrook (just before the Esso garage), proceed past Irton Hall to Santon Bridge where you turn right to Wastwater. When you reach the Lake, marvel at the view and when you're ready just continue along the Lake shore until you come to Wasdale Head.
The nearest railway station is Seascale on the West Coast line from Lancaster to Carlisle. Sadly we have no bus service.
