hildren are really important to us, and it’s important to us that young children feel at home in their church which we know will come with some noise and energy depending on their mood!
Each Sunday we have some fantastic provision for our children. Normally, they will join us at the start of the service and then go out with Dee and her team to enjoy their own session and let off some much needed steam! Sometimes we have a fun filled family service (for things such as Harvest) at which point they stay in, playing a full part in all that’s going on.
For those younger, and indeed, for any children who would prefer to stay in the service there is a children’s area where they can explore all that’s on offer during the service. Also, as they get older, many of our children play an active role in our services by doing things such as reading and being the acolytes (carrying the candles) which we love!
After the service, we all gather for coffee and biscuits, and our children get well and truly spoilt!
Church is a wonderful way for children to get comfortable speaking to a wide range of people, and gives their adults some space to reflect on the week and get a hot drink too at the end of it!

Being that we're named after our Patron Saint, it seems right to celebrate it! So join us at the end of our 9.30am service for some fizz and cakes!

Alongside Altrincham CE Primary School we're delighted to be starting a children’s choir!
This choir will be held weekly after school and will be a fun and a fantastic community. Our choir will be focused on teaching our pupils how to sing properly, how to read music and for those that want it, they will be fully prepared to sit the relevant ABRSM exams—setting them up for any musical adventure that they want to peruse in secondary school. In other words, we’ll be able to offer free musical tuition that will last your child a lifetime.
Many of us are not musical, but have a child who has been given opportunities to be well taught and nurtured in all things music, and we can testify to the life changing difference that it makes and the opportunities that come from it.

Come along after school for our weekly service for families. We gather in the church around 3.30 (don't worry if you're late) for our lively and interactive service, and then head into the parish room for games and a light tea of toast & crumpets!

Come along to this friendly group and get involved with projects that seek to help those in need.
A friendly and simple said service followed by Coffee Break. A great way to re-orientate yourself mid-week.

This PAYF group using movement and dancing to help your little one express themselves and let off some much needed steam!

Come along to this friendly group - if you knit, enjoy sharing patterns and skills. If knitting isn't yet your thing, you could learn a new skill, or, if you prefer, just come along for the natter! We sometimes branch out on a Friday night to the pub as well....?!
We've had an hiatus over Covid, but now, joined by Russell Medley our new Organist & Musical Director, we’re going to meeting on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm from the 14th September. Even if you have never sung in a choir before, why not give it a go?!
The choir is likely to take a break during school holidays - do get in touch for more information.
A number of children, who for whatever reason, were not Christened as babies are enquiring about Christenings/ Baptisms (it’s the same thing – just two different words – we tend to use ‘Christening’ for babies, and baptism for everyone else!). Some of them are in KS1 or 2 and would like to get baptised alongside other people.
So, if you, or your children, fit into that category and would like to get baptised, then we are planning on doing this on Pentecost, Sunday 19th May at 9.30am. It will be a wonderful celebration, and being that the church can seat over 600, you are still welcome to invite as many guests as you wish!

Hot on the heels of our baptisms, we’re also delighted to be able to offer confirmation again this year on Sunday July 14th at 4pm. Confirmation is generally open to everyone from Year 6 upwards – we are just as thrilled to be confirming adults alongside children, so if it is something you or your children would like to explore, do get in touch.
For Year 6s at Altrincham Primary School, we’ll be offering confirmation preparation in school and will be in touch in a month or two to enable you to sign up.
We do sometimes confirm children who are younger – do get in touch if that is important for your child.
