St Benet Fink is a Anglican church in the Catholic tradition: our worship is dignified, traditional and engaging, using incense and modern catholic liturgy and ceremonial, with accessible, Biblical preaching and teaching, rooted in the tradition of the Church.

We are a friendly, growing community, witnessing to the Christian faith as received by the Catholic Church.  All are welcome at our services, or just to pop in and light a candle and say a prayer in our beautiful building.  Our church is open to ALL, irrespective of religion or denomination.

We seek to witness to Jesus Christ in our community by responding to the needs of those around us.  We are committed to our corporate life of worship and prayer, as we are sent out from the Mass to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ, and to serve him in our community by serving our brothers and sisters in need.

The church was built in 1912 using funds from the sale of the City of London church of S. Peter-le-Poer.  The strange 'dedication' of our church comes from the name of the church of St Benet Fink in the City of London, which was knocked down in the mid-nineteenth century to make way for the Royal Exchange.  The church's heavenly patron is S. Benedict, the founder of western monasticism.  The suffix 'Fink' in the dedication comes from the surname of Robert Fink or Finch, who provided the funds for the building of the ancient City Church.

We are lucky to have an excellent 18th century organ with original Father Willis pipe work.  We have a monthly organ recital on a Sunday afternoon from April to October every year, featuring organists and other instrumentalists from London and beyond.  Details can be found on this site and on our website.

We have a large parish hall, which is available for hire at competitive rates.  Please contact David Allen for more information on 07435 352 252.

Enquiries about baptisms and weddings are welcome: please contact Fr James.

Fr James is available to hear confessions, give spiritual direction or just to chat: please contact him if you would like to speak to him about any issue.
