About Us

St Saviours Church is a friendly, welcoming community, encompassing the complete cross-section of ages.

On a normal Sunday 60 adults and 15 children worship with us at our main service, using Common Worship in a broadly central churchmanship.

Our main Eucharist (9:30am) is led most Sundays by a good choir and organist, using mainly traditional hymns. On our Family Eucharist (1st Sunday) a band leads some of our worship with instrumentalists of all standards and ages.

We have a short said BCP Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month at 8:00am and a Meditation service every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 5:00pm of readings, prayers, music and silence.

There has been worship at St Saviours for over 1000 years, although the current building dates from the 14th and 15th centuries.

Regular events at St Saviours include Messy Church (3 times a year) a Children’s Holiday Club (May half-term), Flower Festival (June) and Summer Fete known as the Revel (July). We also run a series of concerts during the year, visit our web-site for more details.

If you are visiting the island on holiday, or moving here permanently, you will find a warm welcome at St Saviours.
