L’Association des Amis de l’Eglise Anglicane de Fontainebleau, or “Les Amis”, is a not-for-profit association set up in 2009 under the French law of 1901. Les Amis exists to organise social and fundraising events and donate to charitable causes on behalf of Saint Luke’s Church Fontainebleau. Events held regularly include barn dances, classic car shows and picnic, quiz and bingo evenings, table sales, sponsored runs, and wine and cheese tastings. Events are posted on the Front Page “Upcoming” event section in the sidebar or by clicking on the Tag “Les Amis” or “Charity and Fundraising” in the Tag Cloud at the bottom of the Front Page.
Since its creation, as of January 1, 2018, Les Amis has donated a total of more than €70,000 to a number of Charitable organisations, including L’Envol, Intercontinental Church Society, Médecins sans Frontières, Portes Ouvertes, Reaching the Unreached, La Sittelle, and Restos du Coeur. Charities which Les Amis support are reviewed and updated regularly. Further information about each charity can be found by following the links above or via an internet search.
