Let There be Light- at last!In years past we have lit All Saints Little Bealings church in the evening for your special occasions and we are now able to offer this again, having installed more efficient bulbs. If you have a day you wish to commemorate in this way, please contact Paul Byrom who will be able to arrange this for you: paulbyrom@gmail.com or 07768 195867. Sponsorship is £10 usually covering 2 hours of light, times/duration can be discussed depending on the time of year.
We hope you enjoyed hearing it ring out after several years of silence! We are hoping the second bell will be ready in August and we'll tell you more about the restoration then! Many thanks to Chris Cheeseman and also for the wonderful work from Chris Garner and Chris McArthur of the Suffolk Guild of Ringers for donning overalls and helping us out!
Following a very well attended Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) on 11th May (held in the Angela Cobbold Hall due to the church being painted) we now have a PCC comprising 9 members, as well as our two elected churchwarden’s. At the first PCC meeting following the APCM, the positions of Secretary, Treasurer and Vice-Chair were duly filled, and the ongoing business of the church fully explored. All parishioners are very aware of the ‘re-ordering’ project that is nearing completion, and I am pleased to report that the much awaited Faculty agreement from the Diocese has now been received, and that enables the planned work to move forward. The monies required for all of this work comes from grants and specific private donations. The challenge is the ‘day to day’ running costs for All Saints in 2022, which are projected to total £14,000, and will probably be slightly higher due to electricity and oil costs. This is required to keep our Ministry going and keep the church open. All our running costs are paid for through your donations, we receive no funds from the Church of England. At this point in time, we have £2,537 in our general account. So, you can see the ‘new’ PCC has a mountain to climb in order for our wonderful church to break even! If you would like to help us to keep running or find out more, please go to our website www.littlebealingschurch.onesuffolk.net and click on the menu (top right hand corner), click on ‘more’ and then click on ‘Giving’, or please contact me. Alternatively, you can send a BACS payment to All Saints Church Little Bealings Sort code 20-98-07 Account no. 10583898. If you would like to nominate a specific cost for your donation to be used against, please include that in the description box. If you would like to volunteer for any task to support the church and its work within the community, help is always gladly received. Please contact me, or a member of the PCC.With every thanks for help, each amount given makes a difference, and we are very grateful for your support. Every BlessingReverend Gary Jones
