Safeguarding

Christ Church Ore is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of all our members; and follow guidance on policy and practice issued by the House of Bishops, in line with the requirements of the Diocese of Chichester.

Our Parish Whistle Blowing Policy can be found on our website.

Safeguarding Queries

If you have any queries, questions or general concerns relating to safeguarding at Christ Church Ore please contact our Safeguarding Officer Lucille West. Lucille will be happy to discuss our policies with you and advise on general safeguarding matters.

Any concerns regarding the welfare and safety of any child, young person or adult whilst in the church’s care must be reported as soon as possible to the head of their ministry or directly to the Incumbent and Parish Safeguarding Officer.

Under no circumstances should a church worker or volunteer or member of the public carry out their own investigations into the allegation or suspicion of abuse.

Diocesan training sessions are held regularly to ensure all workers with our children and young people are familiar with the procedures and understand the importance of working to best practice at all times.

Further policy documentation and information is available from Lucille West.
