Getting here

St Peter's stands on the south-west edge of the growing 'village' of Balsall Common, but aspires to be at the heart of the community and to bring the message of Christ to all who live nearby. It combines a tradition of 'high church' observance with recognition of modern needs and a desire to reach out to all who need Christ, working with other churches in our 'cluster' area. We support youth work through the Churches Together Y7+ group, and also offer a variety of activities for young people at most of our main services as well as for Y6 kids after school in termtime through The Rock club.

There are also social activities for all ages, including 'mothers and toddlers', older people, and young people. We have a very active social programme and welcome visitors and newcomers! An active programme of evangelistic activity is getting underway, and you may already have had a visit one Saturday in our 'Say One for Me' programme - if not, we hope to see you soon .....

Our newly refurbished building has an accessible level floor, comfortable chairs, better audiovisual system and redecorated interior!  We hope our services combine a warm welcome and an informal feel with proper reverence and worship (and activities for Youth & Children). Our main Sunday service starts at 9.30. There are some later services too. We are introducing some more innovative services especially on the "fifth Sunday" of the month, and we do try to provide a varied selection of services to meet the diverse needs of local people. If you need a lift to get to a service, please ring  01676532389 and we shall try to arrange one. With the local Methodist Church, we also provide outreach services at the Harper Fields (Barchester) Care Home, on one Friday morning every month. If you are interested, please contact us or see the 'Calendar'.

@SPCBalsall hosts Claire Reid as one of the 16 Children and Family Missioners working for the Church of England- Birmingham (diocese)! We look forward to expanding our activities and 'growing younger' - details of the initiative are to be found at www.cofebirmingham.com/growingyounger - and do feel free to visit our church  and become part of this too!

St Peter's is concerned to safeguard young people and vulnerable adults: we have a strong Child Protection Policy and dedicated safeguarding officers. If you are concerned about abuse or neglect relating to a young person, or vulnerable adult who attends our church please send a confidential e-mail to [email protected] and we shall contact you. A copy of our Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult policies and contact details are available on the 'Safeguarding' page (see menu of 'Pages and Links' on the Sidebar on the left.)

The full list of our activities and achievements for last year can be read in a file held on the 'Annual Report' page (see our new church website www.spcbalsall.church ) For more details on our weekly activities, look at the Newsletter pages, or those for specific interests in the menu of 'News' or 'Pages and Links' in the sidebar or on the tab above.
