Getting here
Holcombe straddles the A379 Dawlish to Teignmouth Road, with the heart of the old village being on the landward side. There are two roads which lead into the village, Hall Lane in Smugglers Dip and Fordens Lane nearer to Dawlish. When taking the turn into Fordens Lane, continue until the junction by the Castle Inn. There is usually parking in the Village Hall car park up the ramp opposite. The church is down the hill on the left. The village street runs parallel to the main road and the church stands directly on it. There is no tower or spire, but a small bell turret. After the event it would be possible for anyone who finds the hill difficult to have a lift back up to the car park.
