8. SAFEGUARDING

Safeguarding

At St Luke's, we are committed to safeguarding Children, Young People, Victims/Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adults.

Our PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England’s website (see Links below).

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Liz Marlow, who may be contacted by email at [email protected]

The Rochester Diocesan Safeguarding pages can be reached by clicking on the 'Safeguarding' tab on the bottom edge of this page, as well as by following Links below.

The local Parish Policy Statements for Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults are being drawn up by the Parochial Church Council, and will be published here in due course.  They will be fully compliant with the Diocesan and general C of E policies.

A 'Promoting a Safer Church' poster incorporating relevant contact details is on display in the Church porch (Virginia Road entrance) and on the noticeboard in the Hall lobby.

All our ministers have undergone independent safeguarding training. We believe that St Luke's is a safe and happy environment for everyone, particularly for children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and it is our intention to ensure that it always remains so.
