We are two Church of England (Anglican) parishes in the Sevenoaks Deanery of the Diocese of Rochester, within the Canterbury Province. St Katharine's and St Margaret's came together in 1983 as a United Benefice under one parish priest. Our pattern of services reflects the fact that we are two parishes working closely together.
• 1st Sunday: 8.00am Holy Communion; 6.30pm Choral Evensong
• 2nd Sunday: 10.30am Family Communion
• 3rd Sunday: 9.00am Choral Matins; 6.30pm Holy Communion
• 4th Sunday: 10.30am Family Service
Please email or phone the Rector, the Rev'd John Benson for further details of these services, or for a fuller explanation, please visit the church website. Our Curate, the Rev'd Hugh Thomas helps to lead and develop our parishes in worship. Churchwardens assist our Rector and Curate in this.
We have two thriving choirs, a Youth Choir, and an Adult Choir, led by our talented director of music, David Walker. There are often music concerts and organ recitals. For more information on our choirs and music, visit our website.
We also have strong children and youth outreach within our parishes, with a Sunday Club, Tots Praise, CYC, Crèche, Youth Choirs and annual holiday clubs for all children from surrounding schools. Again, more details are available from our website.
We hold many events such as Harvest luncheons, Bible Studies, summer picnics, BBQs, Lent courses, and many more enjoyable social gatherings. Our many groups and fellowships include the Knockholt Wives' Fellowship and St Katharine's Flower Team. A full history of St Katharine's along with sermons and articles is available on our website - please do take a look, and we look forward to welcoming you to our parish.
If you wish to make an enquiry regarding baptisms, weddings or funerals, please use the form on our website rather than sending a general email to the Rector.
