You can expect a friendly welcome and a Church of England service of the word. This includes hynns, songs, prayers, bible readings and a sermon. This service does not include holy communion. Refreshments are served in the hall after the service.

It's informal and interactive, planned with families and children in mind. You can expect refreshments, a friendly welcome, lively songs, an interactive apporach to learning from the Bible, and creative ways to pray.

This is our monthly service at St Faiths Hall, in New House Lane.

Worship will be lead in a fairly relaxed style, more “songs of praise” than “evensong”! We will read the Bible and explore how it relates to life and faith today. There will be time to pray for the the world. Finally, there will be a chance to catch up with people over a cuppa.

An opportunity to gather together to pray for the parish of Thanington and the wider world.

A service of Holy Communion based on the Church of England's Common Worship. You can expect a warm welcome, hymns and worship songs, Bible reading and sermon, prayers, bread and wine (currently wafers dipped in wine). Refreshments served in the hall straight after the service. At the moment, we don't have a separate children's group but can provide simple activities for children to do while they are with you during the service.

We'll be walking together from St Nicholas Church, through some of the local orchards (which may be in blossom) and back to church for tea. Meet at 2:30pm and we'll be back to the church hall around 3.30pm for a relaxed tea. All welcome. Donations to towards the cost of the food and the work of the church.. This Sunday Thanington Family Worship will become Thanington Family Tea! A relaxed tea with others in the church. Why not also join us for the orchard walk at 2:30pm and build up an appetite? But if you can't make that, you're welcome to just come for tea. If you plan to come, please get in touch so we know how many to cater for.

An opportunity to come and have lunch with other people - usually in the church hall but in the summer, weather permitting, it may be outdoors. Main course, dessert, and drinks! Booking is essential. Cost is £7 per person. Get in touch for more details and to book.

Messy Church starts with a choice of activities. Then we gather together to sing, learn from the Bible, and pray. We finish by eating tea together. It's planned with families and primary aged children in mind but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There isn't a charge to come in but we welcome donations from those who can.

Join us at St Nicholas for an early summer tidy up on Saturday 25th May 10am - 1pm. There's a job for everyone - clearing the ground gutters, weeding the flower beds, and cutting back bushes in the churchyard, dusting in the church and polishing the brass. Drinks and cakes at half-time. All welcome for as long as you can manage. If you like to work outside, please bring some garden tools if you can.
