The Shroud of Turin has fascinated believers, historians, and scientists for centuries. Many Christians regard it as the burial cloth of Jesus Christ because it bears the faint image of a man who appears to have suffered injuries consistent with the crucifixion described in the Gospels. For others, it remains an extraordinary historical and scientific mystery.

This evening, Rev. Matt Thomson will guide us through the latest developments in research on the Shroud of Turin, exploring what new studies may tell us about its origin, its image, and its continuing significance for faith and inquiry alike.

Join us at St Andrew’s Church, Congresbury for a special service including a play performed by children from St Anne’s Church Academy. A wonderful way to begin Holy Week together - everyone welcome!

Our Palm Sunday Service marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The service begins with the blessing of palm crosses and a procession, recalling the crowds who welcomed Christ with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna.” Through Scripture readings, prayers, and hymns, we reflect both on this moment of joyful acclaim and on the solemn journey that leads toward the events of the Passion. All are welcome to join us as we gather in worship, preparing our hearts for the sacred days of Holy Week and the hope of Easter.

Join our Youth Worker, Caz, for a fun, free craft session this Easter! Aimed at primary school–aged children (but all are welcome), this session will be full of creativity and festive fun. Many local children will already know Caz from school assemblies at St Andrew’s Primary, St Anne’s Church Academy, and Banwell Primary.

A reflective Good Friday service as we remember the events of the cross. The service will be followed by hot cross buns served in the refectory. All are welcome to stay for fellowship and refreshments.

Celebrate the joy of Easter at our early morning outdoor service on Congresbury Millennium Green. We gather at 6.30am to proclaim the resurrection as the day begins. The service will be followed by hot cross buns at the Methodist Hall. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
