The Milborne Benefice

We are a group of rural churches ranging from the largest in Milborne Port, to the teeniest in Milborne Wick. We meet every Sunday and Wednesday in different Church buildings in the group, and you would be most welcome at our services. We say prayers each weekday morning using the Church of England Daily Prayer, and we would love you to join us at 9am in Milborne Port (just listen for the bell calling us in!).

In addition we have lots of groups such as Little Jays Baby and Toddler Group each Friday morning, Bible Study, Bell Ringers, Julian Contemplation Group, Gardening folk (Grasshoppers), Foodshare, Breakfast Groups, Luncheon Club and many more. We are a group of normal, ordinary people who have found a light, peace and joy from a faith which matters. Come and explore with us!

Darkness to Light Advent Carol Service

for 1 hour

A beautiful service which begins in darkness and as the story progresses, candles are lit and the Church moves into light.
Carols, readings, and refreshments afterwards.

Midweek Service of Holy Communion using the BCP (Book of Common Prayer)

Every Wednesday at for 30 mins
St John the Evangelist

This is a half hour service of Holy Communion using the old Prayer book. A peaceful and thought provoking service.

Little Jays Baby and Toddler Group

Every Friday at for 2 hours
Church Hall
Bathwell Lane, Milborne Port, DT9 5AN

A welcoming play group for little people and their carers. There will be singing, stories, playing with all sorts of toys, creative sessions, refreshments and lovely community.
