Postlebury and East Mendip Churches

The group of eight village churches in Postlebury and East Mendips has been under a single vicar for over 12 years.  The Reverend Keith Johnson took up the post of Priest-in-Charge on the 16th October 2025.   He is supported by a team of retired clergy and lay pastoral assistants/readers.    Our full range of church services on offer can be found at https://www.postleburychurches.org/upcoming-events/

The eight churches are all of historic interest and located in the heart of their communities.

We have a single office, located in the Rectory in Nunney,  to support the three parishes within the group. Reverend Johnson can be contacted at [email protected] or on 01373 792344.  Our part-time administrator can be reached at [email protected] or 07404 824355

Safeguarding

Our parishes are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Caroline Pomeroy, at [email protected] for Postlebury or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Ben Goodhind at [email protected].

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
