The service, led by the Bishop of Blackburn, The Rt Revd Philip North, was attended by the MP for Blackburn, Mr Adnan Hussain; the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackburn with Darwen, Councillor Jacqueline Slater and former Councillor Lillian Salton; the Archdeacon of Blackburn, The Ven Jane Atkinson; visiting clergy and members of the congregations of St Stephen’s and St James’ churches. Revd Daniel and his family were also supported by many of the congregation of his previous church, St Nic’s, Nottingham, who were warmly welcomed by everyone. Revd. Daniel, his wife Tracey and their daughter Abigail will live in St James’ Vicarage.
