About Us

About Wellspring Villages

The Parish of Wellspring Villages was formed on 1 June 2025, uniting the parishes of Bishopstone with Hinton Parva and Lyddington and Wanborough, Wiltshire.  Until then, we were 3 parishes - St Andrews, Wanborough; All Saints, Lyddington and St Marys, Bishopstone with St Swithuns, Hinton Parva

Our name reflects both our landscape and our faith — the natural springs where chalk hills meet clay valleys, and the biblical promise of God’s life-giving water.

We worship across four historic churches:

St Mary the Virgin, Bishopstone
All Saints, Lyddington
St Andrew’s, Wanborough
St Swithuns, Hinton Parva (Chapel of Ease)

Together, we are a welcoming church family in the Diocese of Bristol, located near Swindon, Wiltshire.

Four villages. One parish. A warm welcome for all.

Worship With Us

Each Sunday we gather for worship across our four churches on a simple rota:

1st Sunday – All Saints, Liddington
2nd Sunday – St Mary’s, Bishopstone
3rd Sunday – St Andrew’s, Wanborough
4th Sunday – St Swithun’s, Hinton Parva

Services are usually at 10:30am, followed by tea and coffee — a chance to chat and connect.

We offer a variety of services, from Holy Communion and Book of Common Prayer to Songs of Praise and Messy Church for families. There’s something for everyone, whether you prefer quiet reflection, traditional liturgy, or creative, hands-on worship.
