Stour Downs

The Stour Downs Parish was created in 2018, serving the communities of Brabourne, Mersham, Monks Horton, Sellindge, Smeeth and Stowting. We have six rural and historic churches offering a variety of services during each month. Please see our website https://www.stourdowns.org.uk for current monthly services and other events in the parish, as well as our safeguarding information. We have a parish Facebook page as a space to connect online- Stour Downs Parish.

Safeguarding

Stour Downs Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Sian Hall ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [email protected].
If you believe that someone is immediate risk of harm please dial 999 and ask for help.
