St Nicholas Church, Sandhurst (Kent)
Welcome to St Nicholas Church, Sandhurst! Everyone is always very welcome to join us on any Sunday for our worship. (Please see the 'services and events' section for upcoming service details.)
If you are new to the village, have never visited, or are a fleeting passer by, please do come and visit our church and lovely churchyard. Do join us for worship too.
St Nicholas Church perches in a remote part of Sandhurst close to the Kent/Sussex border. The churchyard (and atop the tower) gives you fabulous views of the Rother Valley and East Sussex, towards Bodiam. Like most churchyards, ours is a haven for wild flowers and wild life. - The churchyard is maintained as part of 'God's Acre' and mowing and raking of the whole churchyard takes place in September every year. In the summer the churchyard buzzes with wildlife and the paths are carefully maintained and only the more recent graves mown. Within the churchyard are several listed monuments, a listed mounting block and several war graves.

The Mission Church, Sandhurst (Kent)
Welcome to The Mission Church, Sandhurst!
Sandhurst is fortunate to have two Church of England churches. The original medieval church of St Nicholas is some 1.5 miles out of the village and perches on high ground, overlooking wonderful views of the Rother Valley.
The Mission Church is in central Sandhurst, on Back Road towards the Upper Green. It was originally constructed in Victorian times for hop pickers. The original metal building was was extensively rebuilt after the great October storm of 1987. It is now our focal point in the village for our weekly Drop in & Toddler Group and for our Children's services, including our once a month 'Connect Four' family service (with craft, worship, singing and cake!).
A Holy Communion Service is held at the Mission Church, every Tuesday at 10am. Everyone is welcome.
