We welcomed Captain Mel from the Salvation Army at our meeting yesterday (4th). After a short service on the theme of remembrance Captain Mel spoke to us about her life and work in the Salvation Army and highlighted the need for more members across the Country. Our members and others have been collecting toys for the Salvation Army toy appeal which were gratefully received by Captain Mel. Our raffle was won by Ann and all enjoyed refreshments at the end of the meeting. It was decided that we would attend the Deanery Advert Service at the URC church in Carlisle on 2nd December, replacing our own meeting. For further details, see the Parish Magazine. 🙏☕🥰
