About Us

The Blackwater Benefice is in the process of becoming part of a larger new benefice formed of 18 churches within the Witham Deanery. These are grouped into four parish clusters: The Beacons, Heathland, Roman Road and Waterside Parishes. Each of the churches has its own distinctive character but we have strong and growing relationships across the parishes.

The Beacons and Waterside groups consist of the following churches:

St Mary's Tollesbury, St Mary's Salcott, St Nicholas' Tolleshunt D'Arcy, St Nicholas' Tolleshunt Major

Beacons

St Peter's Great Totham, All Saints Little Totham & St Peter's Goldhanger
