About Us

We are a benefice of five friendly, inclusive, welcoming churches in rural North West Essex, Thaxted, along with Great and Little Sampford, Radwinter, and Hempstead.

Thaxted's Anglican church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist, Our Lady and St. Laurence. Thaxted Parish Church upholds a tradition of Anglo-Catholic Faith and Order. Great Sampford's church is dedicated to St Michael the Archangel. Little Sampford and Radwinter's churches are dedicated to St Mary the Virgin, and Hempstead's to St Andrew.
