At Messy Church we explored Harvest.  We used the story of Ruth and Naomi, a Moabite who married Naomi’s son. When Naomi’s husband  Elimelech and her two sons die, Naomi decides to leave Moab and to go back to her home in Bethlehem. Her daughter in law Ruth chooses to accompany her.  Ruth meets and marries Boaz, a distant relative of Naomi and becomes the great Grandmother of King David.  We discussed the importance of the  Harvest, Boaz’s kindness to Ruth and what we can learn from their story about sharing our gifts with others.
