being marked in ash with the sign of the cross.

We remind ourselves of Jesus’ new commandment of love (mandatum novum, hence

‘Maundy’).

Good Friday 29th March 10.00 a.m. St Peter Offham

We hear the account of Jesus’s death.

The Easter Vigil Saturday 30th March 7.30 p.m. All Saints Plumpton combined service.

The Easter Vigil is a drama of light and dark. The Pascal candle is lit from a new fire and

everyone’s candles are lit. We hear the ‘Exsultet’ the ancient song of praise. We renew our baptismal vows and share the Eucharist.

Our service this morning is one of joy as we celebrate the overcoming of death through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
