Lent Lunches in Swaffham Prior

Lent

Heather Johnson, our CMS link missionary at the Rehema project in Mara has asked us to support:

· Baraka Steven – is around 11 years old and keen to return to school but did not have a uniform. The Rehema seamstress made him a uniform, bought shoes and a school jumper. Storms made the family home uninhabitable and Baraka is currently living with his grandmother who is not able to support him. Heather will find out more, but he and his grandma are hungry. Any support will be put to good use.

· Food parcels – Rehema provides 40kg of maize flour every month for families who are struggling to put food on the table. Currently 6 families are receiving this aid on a regular basis and others receive it occasionally. 40kg of flour costs c £20.

· Esther - a widow, with young children, whose eldest son has just died on the way to have an operation. Esther has no way of earning an income; Heather would like to give her some money to start a small business so she can provide for her family - c£200.
