St Peter's Church, Barton
Welcome to the church of St Peter in the village of Barton, Cambridgeshire.
Weekly Sunday services include Holy Communion, Morning Worship, and All-Age Services. Morning Prayer takes place every Monday morning, with an ecumenical team leading. The church has good relations with Barton Baptist Church, sharing occasional services and Advent/Lent Group meetings.
There are strong links between the churches in the village and the school (Barton C of E Primary School). Children visit for assemblies every Wednesday during term time and for church festivals, led by an ecumenical team of ministers. St Peter’s is also a popular venue for weddings and baptisms, funerals and thanksgiving services. Social events are well supported and include concerts, coffee mornings, safari suppers, cream teas and sales.
Our parish church is open for private and public prayer, for worship, or just to visit, during daylight hours each and every day. It is also a place of historic interest, with 14th century wall paintings.
